07 Aug 2025
Jakarta, August 7, 2025 — Edufarmers was honored to join the Digital Transformation Indonesia Conference and Expo 2025 (DTI-CX) as a panelist, alongside industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers exploring the future of digital technology. Held at the Jakarta International Convention Center, the event drew over 12,000 professionals and 200+ speakers from across government and industry.
Organized by the Ministry of Communications and Informatics, Indonesia Telematics Society (MASTEL), and Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII), DTI-CX serves as a national platform connecting technology providers with key industries driving Indonesia’s digital transformation. This year, DTI-CX spotlights the theme “Indonesia Next: Leading the Digital Age with Government and Industry Collaboration,” underscoring the nation’s commitment to advancing digital transformation through cross-sector partnerships.
Edufarmers Chief Operating Officer, Amri Ilmma joined the session “Precision Agriculture and Digital Technologies: Increasing Crop Yields and Refining Resource Management” alongside distinguished panelists:
-
Puji Lestari, Head of OR Agriculture and Food, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN)
-
Gita Bina Nugraha, Senior Vice President, Indonesia Fertilizer Research Institute (IFRI), PT Pupuk Indonesia
-
Suhendri, Director of Human Resources and IT, PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV
-
Bernadetta Raras, Director of Supply Chain Management & IT, PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (IDFOOD)
The session explored how emerging technologies can help Indonesia’s agricultural sector address climate challenges, land constraints, and meet increasing demands for sustainability and traceability.
Representing Edufarmers, Amri emphasized Edufarmers commitment to sustainable farming through accessible agronomic technology, particularly for the smallholder farmers who form the backbone of Indonesia’s food security. During the panel, Amri highlighted Pak Dayat, our AI-powered WhatsApp chatbot that delivers fast, affordable, and easy-to-understand agricultural advice in local languages, enabling farmers to access timely, accurate recommendations without barriers.
“Farmers are the backbone of our food security, yet many still face barriers to reliable farming information. Through Pak Dayat, we provide advice that is accessible, relevant, and practical. But technology alone is not enough, building trust and changing long-standing habits are equally important. That’s why we work with lead farmers and support them through our Plaza Bertani program, so they can learn and experience firsthand the tangible benefits of AI tools like Pak Dayat,” Amri said.
Moderated by Algooth Putranto from CNBC Indonesia, the discussion explored real-world applications of IoT, AI, and data analytics in agriculture, as well as challenges such as connectivity gaps and workforce training.
Edufarmers participation in DTI-CX 2025 reaffirms our belief that technology must be inclusive, not only serving large plantations but also tailored to the needs of smallholder farmers who feed the nation.
As digital tools continue to shape agriculture’s future, we remain committed to ensuring innovation reaches the very last mile.
