Welcoming Batch 5 of Bertani Untuk Negeri (BUN) Program

Edu Farmers International Foundation held an event on Wednesday, August 3rd , 2022, to officially welcome Bertani Untuk Negeri (BUN) – in English Farming for the Nation- Batch 5 and to conclude BUN Batch 4.  

Edufarmers successfully collaborated with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia for the third time, gaining their trust to continue the collaboration in BUN 5. Not only with government, Edufarmers also brings private sector, Pitik to the team. Pitik is an agri-tech startup aiming to modernize the end-to-end poultry supply chain in Indonesia. This collaboration comes with the mission of assisting farmers in optimizing the use of technology in producing higher produ activity.  

This event began with remarks from Irvan Kolonas as Adviser of Edu Farmers International Foundation, who congratulated BUN 4 graduates. He advised participants to keep learning, contributing, and maintaining connections with mentors and colleagues. He also expressed appreciation to the partners who collaborated during the program. 

Haryo Kusuma Wibawa as the Head of Magang dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat, also gave a remark, congratulated BUN 4 for successfully completing the program and BUN 5 for passing the BUN 5 selection process. 

Yahja Djanggola, CEO of Edu Farmers International Foundation, delivered the keynote address. He briefly explained the program in the hope that participants would gain useful knowledge for their future career endeavors. He also told the students of BUN 4 that he was proud of them. 

The event continued with Yahja Djanggola symbolically inaugurating BUN 5 with three participants from Broiler, Layer, and Horticulture’s commodities.  Followed by the announcement of the 18 Best FDA and 18 farmers represented by Edo Nurhan from Layer’s commodity, Rizky Zahran from Horticultural’s commodity, and Muhammad Taufik from Broiler’s commodity.
