22 Nov 2024

We are excited to announce our selection as a grantee of the prestigious Asia-Pacific Digital Transformation Program, an initiative by Infoxchange with funding from Google.org. This transformative grant of USD $112,560, will enable Edufarmers ZeroStunting Program, to advance its mission of combating child stunting in Indonesia thorough artificial intelligence (AI) and innovative digital solutions.

Stunting, a chronic condition resulting from prolonged nutritional deficiencies, affects millions of Indonesian children. It threatens their physical and cognitive development, limiting their potential for a healthier, more prosperous future. Addressing stunting is critical to unlocking Indonesia’s full potential. Recognizing this urgency, Through its flagship program, ZeroStunting, Edufarmers has actively worked on this issue since 2022, reaching over 1,600 beneficiaries nationwide.

The Infoxchange grant will help Edufarmers scale up the ZeroStunting program by incorporating AI-driven technology and creating a digital ecosystem designed to address the multifaceted challenges of stunting. The program’s holistic approach is built around innovative tools and platforms that provide real-time data, educational resources, and opportunities for collaboration among stakeholders.

A core aspect of the ZeroStunting initiative is its use of an AI-powered chatbot, we call Solve-ZeroStunting. This chatbot will automate the collection of health and nutrition data, enabling real-time analysis of trends and providing personalized advice to families. By leveraging  technology to streamline administrative tasks for field team, we will be able to dedicate more time to supporting parents and health cadres in the community, ultimately maximizing the program’s impact.

The grant will also be used by Edufarmers to develop a digital knowledge hub, Learn ZeroStunting, that delivers accessible resources on nutrition, child development, and preventive care to parents, health volunteers, and the general public. By fostering understanding and encouraging behavioral change, this platform aims to promote sustainable improvements in child health.

Lastly, Edufarmers will begin building a crowdfunding and that encourage public engagement and financial support we call Connect ZeroStunting. This platform facilitates donations and resource sharing while creating opportunities for collaboration among individuals, NGOs, and corporations. It aims to unite efforts against child stunting, ensuring resources reach communities most in need.

This initiative demonstrates Edufarmers' dedication to tackling one of Indonesia's most pressing public health challenges through innovation, collaboration, and community empowerment. The one-year grant will instrumental in achieving these goals and creating meaningful change.

Edufarmers deeply thanks Infoxchange and Google.org for their trust and support. Together, we strive for a future where every Indonesian child can grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.
