Edufarmers and JAPFA Launch the Beasiswa JAPFA untuk Anak Negeri 2025

Jakarta, September 30, 2025 – Edu Farmers International Foundation, as the program’s implementing partner, together with PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA), officially launched the scholarship program: "Beasiswa JAPFA untuk Anak Negeri" in an event held in Bogor, West Java. 

Beasiswa JAPFA untuk Anak Negeri 2025 program was born from JAPFA’s sincere desire to support the education of children within the JAPFA community (internal category). Seeing the great benefits of the program, JAPFA decided to expand its reach as part of its ongoing commitment to Indonesia. Therefore,  JAPFA opened the opportunity for outstanding students from across the country, those who have demonstrated achievements both inside and outside of school, to participate (external category). Scholarship recipients were selected through several stages, including administrative screening, psychological testing, and focus group discussions (FGD), to assess their potential, capacity, and leadership qualities. 

The opening ceremony began with a speech from Yahja Djanggola, Chairman of Edu Farmers International Foundation, who emphasized the crucial role of young people in building the nation: 

“The recipients of the Beasiswa JAPFA untuk Anak Negeri 2025 are Indonesia’s future leaders. They are not only academically accomplished but also possess leadership qualities and a passion to contribute to society. We hope they continue to grow and create a positive impact for Indonesia.” 

Out of a total of 6,691 applicants, this year’s program successfully selected 422 scholarship recipients, consisting of 271 internal recipients (children of JAPFA employees) and 151 external recipients (general applicants).  This achievement is a tangible testament to Edufarmers’ and JAPFA’s commitment to recognizing and supporting young individuals with potential and outstanding achievements.

On the same occasion, Retno Artsanti, Head of Social Investment at PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk, shared an inspiring message with the scholarship awardees: 

“Out of more than 6,500 applicants, fewer than 10% made it through. This proves that you are a generation of dreamers and changemakers. I myself wouldn’t be where I am today without the courage to dream. But dreams must be accompanied by consistency, humility, and respect, or your parents and for your community.” 

The inauguration ceremony was marked by the striking of a kentongan (traditional bamboo gong) by Yahja Djanggola, Achmad Dawami, Amri Ilmma, Lewin Ibrahim, and Retno Artsanti, symbolizing the official launch of the Beasiswa JAPFA untuk Anak Negeri 2025 

The scholarship recipients also gained valuable insights through a talk show titled “Building Leaders Who Are Visionary, Inspirational, and of Strong Character” featuring Achmad Dawami, Deputy Head of Commercial Poultry at PT Ciomas Adisatwa. He emphasized that success is not defined by one’s field of study or educational background, but by attitude, commitment, and the willingness to keep learning. He concluded by reminding that true leadership is not merely about financial success but about creating a positive impact on others.
