Edufarmers and Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN) Join Forces to Support AI-Based Nutrition Innovation
11 Jul 2025Jakarta, July 9, 2025 — Yayasan Edu Farmers International (Edufarmers) and Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their synergy in developing and disseminating artificial intelligence (AI) to support national nutrition efforts.
Through this MoU, both parties have agreed to collaborate on various strategic initiatives, including designing and testing relevant AI-based solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of nutrition programs, such as Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) program. The collaboration also includes nutrition education and the use of each party’s communication channels and communities to promote the use of AI technology in delivering nutrition information that is more practical, accessible, and easier to understand by the public at a broader scale.
The partnership between Edufarmers and Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN) represents a strategic step toward building a digital ecosystem that inclusively promotes national nutrition resilience, reaching children, pregnant women, and other vulnerable groups. AI is expected to accelerate the identification of nutrition problems and offer more tailored solutions. A technology-based approach also allows for broader program reach and improved effectiveness of nutrition interventions across all levels of society.
“We believe AI can play a significant role in identifying nutrition problems and delivering more accurate and faster solutions,” said Yahja Djanggola, Chairman of Yayasan Edu Farmers International.
This collaboration stands as a concrete demonstration of both, Edufarmers and Badan Gizi Nasional, commitment to addressing Indonesia’s nutrition challenges through innovative, data-driven, and measurable solutions.
