Plaza Bertani, established in 2024, is an initiative that prioritizes building a thriving community of Indonesian farmers dedicated to sustainable agriculture and food security. By integrating climate-smart and regenerative agriculture principles, this hub empowers farmers to lessen their environmental impact and adapt to a changing climate through activities focused on sustainable food production and strengthening the resilience of Indonesian smallholder farmers.

Our Approach
An integrated approach that combines technical training, cooperative development, and cross-sector partnerships to promote sustainable and equitable agricultural growth.
We deliver practical, field-based training in climate-smart and regenerative agriculture to help farmers restore soil health, reduce environmental impact, and adapt to climate change. Through demonstration plots, peer learning, and applied practices, farmers are equipped to improve productivity while safeguarding natural resources.
We work closely with farmers and rural youth to build inclusive, resilient communities. By strengthening leadership, encouraging knowledge sharing, and supporting youth participation in agriculture, we ensure long-term continuity, innovation, and stronger farmer representation in agricultural development.
Plaza Bertani collaborates with agribusinesses, financial institutions, and ecosystem partners to expand farmers’ access to quality inputs, affordable financing, and fair market opportunities. These partnerships enable farmers to increase income stability and integrate more effectively into sustainable value chains.
We support the development and strengthening of farmer cooperatives to improve collective bargaining, market access, and information exchange. By reinforcing cooperative structures and local food systems, Plaza Bertani contributes to national food security and the long-term resilience of Indonesian smallholder farmers.
