Are You Agriculture Students? Let’s Join Bertani Untuk Negeri Batch 7!

The agricultural sector plays an important role in human life. As one of the largest agricultural countries in the world, Indonesia has much potential on food security. Indonesia needs the younger generation as agricultural agents to improve food security in the future. 

Bertani Untuk Negeri is a program from Edufarmers with Kemendikbudristekdikti for agriculture, animal husbandry, plantation, or related major students to get practice and learning experience from the field as a career preparation after graduation. During the program, students will assist farmers and breeders to increase agricultural productivity. 

Registration for Bertani Untuk Negeri Batch 7 has been open from 8th May 2023 to 15th June 2023. Register on linktr.ee/Edufarmers and MBKM portal (registration via MBKM to be announced soon).

Commodities & Location

• Layer - Blitar, East Java

• Broiler - Makassar, South Sulawesi

• Cocoa - Palu, Central Sulawesi

• Maize - Palu, Central Sulawesi

• Coffee - Silangit, North Sumatera

• Chili - Cianjur, West Java

Requirements

1. An active undergraduate student (D4/S1) under Kemendikbudristekdikti min. on 5th semester. 

2. Students from agriculture, animal husbandry, plantation, or related major. 

3. Have a strong motivation to develop the agriculture industry in Indonesia.

4. Have organization or volunteer experience, especially as a coordinator/head of the division.

5. Have work or internship experience (is a plus).

6. Able to communicate and build good relationships with villagers, especially farmers and breeders. 

7. Able to take initiative and work independently.

8. Have a strong commitment for five months on the program. 

9. Willing to be placed in the area of commodity for five months.

Students must have BPJS or health insurance during the program.

BUN 7 Activities

• Students will improve soft skills, business skills, and agriculture skills according to standards.

• Students will apply their knowledge to share and lead agriculture development projects.

• Students will assist and direct impact for farmers/breeders welfare.

• Students will collaborate with farmers/breeders to increase agriculture productivity.

• Students get 3 weeks for training to improve their skills and knowledge before join the program.

• Cognitive Test & Focus Group Discussion (FGD): 19th - 30th June 2023

• Announcement and re-registration : 1st - 7th July 2023

• Documents preparation : 1st - 7th July 2023

• BUN 7 welcoming ceremony (online) : 14th August 2023

• Departure to each commodity area: 15th - 30th August 2023
